Sustainable Stewardship for LYC
The Lighthouse Youth Center Foundation is committed to ensuring that the LYC ministry can continue sharing the light of Christ’s love to under-served youth. The goal of the Lighthouse Youth Center Foundation is to help secure the future of Lighthouse by thoughtful stewardship of certain gifts given to LYC. This allows for the donation to have a much greater impact over a longer period of time. The LYC Foundation carries out its mission by thoughtfully managing foundation funds to provide LYC with funds to expand campuses, update sites as needed, and fund activities and opportunities for our youth. With your support, more youth will be exposed to the love of Jesus, giving them a more fulfilling and positive life beyond this one.
At the LYC Foundation, we focus on four priorities: Leaders for Today, Leaders for Tomorrow, Sustainability, and Growth.
LEADERS FOR TODAY
Leadership can make or break an organization. God has blessed LYC with many strong leaders. Gifts to the LEADERS FOR TODAY Fund ensure that Lighthouse has the resources to continue to attract and retain strong executive leadership and administration.
LEADERS FOR TOMORROW
LYC seeks to raise up the next generation of strong leaders for Milwaukee and for churches around the country. LYC alumni are leaders in their churches, their workplaces, and their communities. Gifts to the LEADERS FOR TOMORROW Fund help Lighthouse continue this critical work. Gifts to the fund may be used for leadership programming, leadership retreats, student employment, and support for interns or seminary student employees.
SUSTAINABILITY
LYC has always been free for students. LYC receives no church body support. Instead, LYC is funded primarily through generous donors like YOU and through generous foundation grants. Gifts to the SUSTAINABILITY Fund will ensure that LYC can serve students for years to come so that LYC has stable funding regardless of any changes to its donor base.
GROWTH
LYC has had more than 150,000 student visits. Each is an opportunity to share the Gospel. We are grateful to have had all of these opportunities. But there is more to do. LYC is regularly in contact with ministry partners who are interested in hosting a LYC campus. Gifts to the GROWTH Fund provides LYC the funds to act quickly when opportunities for new campuses present themselves.
