Lighthouse History
2005
The LYC Board of Directors was formed and Lighthouse Youth Center became a legal entity.
2006
Founding Executive Director is hired and LYC opened its doors to our first location in the Havenwoods neighborhood at Redemption Lutheran Church.
2008
We hired our first Site Director to get Havenwoods campus open 5 days a week and enable LYC to grow to more locations.
2012
We opened our second campus, Garden Homes.
2014
LYC began hiring more full time staff to meet the growing needs of the organization, like our first Mission Advancement Officer.
2018
We hired our Director of Operations to grow programming and add bandwidth of campus expansion.
2020
Polonia, our third campus, opened!
